Confabulation of Love
If I see you as many things, as if you yourself had many eyes, were so many creatures fashioned by the mind's hunger for a large number of colors, as if you had set a multitude of beings into action and you were following all of them with a certain sly attention like a wise but worried mother; if I see you as many things, perhaps we are a continent and an ocean. You dangle a prism between our eyes and twirl it slowly with the breath of your whisper, with the musical caresses of a million words bearing wings. And I ascend into your nest perched high above everything, I ascend into your chamber of infinite possibilities, enchanted by the range of your music; I ascend into that heavenly space where all is forgotten, where we lie together; where the universe entertains us.
